The other day, we held a company information session for students lol

We did this in response to a request from students who are scheduled to graduate next year.

Since I’d never actually done anything like this before, I had absolutely no idea what to do, but I managed to put together some materials to convey our company’s unique strengths and the benefits of the construction industry.

One is a man, and one is a woman.

We are very pleased that young people find the construction industry appealing and have expressed interest in attending our company information session.

Just like on my blog, I lay it all out there—the good and the bad—without holding anything back lol.

We provided explanations both in writing and via video, and then showed them the company’s maintenance facilities and the crawler-type rotary percussion machine.

At one point, a generator that had stalled on site (due to a clogged fuel filter) was brought back, and I ended up having to operate the crawler. (I was the only one there at the time, so I handled it by myself—leaving the students to fend for themselves lol.)

The students, who were seeing a large aircraft in action up close for the first time, were reportedly both surprised and thrilled lol.

I’m holding out a faint hope that we might be able to take on two trainee directors—one male and one female—as early as next spring.

I realized that we need to make an effort to increase opportunities like this at each school going forward.

While experienced hires are important, new graduates are important too.

Recruiting may seem like a low-key task, but doing it thoroughly helps shape the company’s future.
