So I'm actually out in the field. (I'm acting all high and mighty after just two days out there, lol.)

Well, since I don't usually work out, just using one hammer has left my arms sore!
(Just kidding, lol)

But when you're out in the field, all sorts of things happen, don't they?

So, here's what happened today.

Ground Conditions

This is what the natural ground looks like.

There's a thin layer of soil and sand on the surface, but underneath there are some weathered rocks that look a little hard.

There are quite a few joints, so it looks like it might be brittle.

I'm worried that if the drill hole diameter is φ65, the hole might collapse and the rebar might get stuck.

Drilling Results

As is commonly said in the Tokai region,Penis Cancer (An Extremely Hard Rock)

After the tip had gone in about 20 cm, the rock became incredibly fresh and hard, and it took about 40 minutes per pitch...

This is bad! At this rate, I won't be able to finish it this week...

Anchor climbers usually hit a snag on their first climb, but as they tackle their second and subsequent climbs, they get used to the route and master it by the middle of the climb.

Construction will proceed rapidly from that point on.

So, at first, I think about all sorts of things.

The Result of Thinking

For now, I'm heading back to the office to make arrangements for the down-the-hole hammer.
(While the rest of the crew continued working as usual, I was the only one handling the logistics.)

When it comes to drilling through rock, the down-the-hole hammer is by far the best choice!

We carry a lineup ranging from φ65 to φ125. lol

Just in case, we'll be prepared to use any drilling method necessary.

If this doesn't work, try that; if that doesn't work, try the other one.

The purpose is to drill a hole and insert rebar.

Since the goal is to get this done as quickly as possible, the more methods we have, the better.

In addition, we’ve also prepared ultra-ultra-ultra-hard drill bits for hard rock.

The more balls you have, the better.

If you keep a few tricks up your sleeve for when you're in a pinch, you'll be able to handle the situation right away.

If there are no results from trying various things and conducting experiments, I suppose that’s just the way it is, but it’s nonsense if there are none to begin with.
