Spring is here, and we’re about to start a new construction project, but they’re asking us to use the CCUS (Career Advancement System) lol
Or rather, it seems to be becoming somewhat mandatory, so I’m starting to take action because I figure I’d better sign up soon.
Actually, I registered last year, but I keep getting error messages over and over again lol.
I got tired of it by the third time, so I just left it as is, you know?
Among the people I know, some have had no trouble at all, while quite a few have encountered errors.
Since I have to register to proceed (though it's not mandatory yet), I think it's about time I got serious about signing up lol
It seems that CCUS is now a factor for earning bonus points in bidding projects, so in a sense, it feels like we have no choice but to include it for the sake of the general contractor.
Even though there are a few branch managers from major general contractors who are forcing their way in, they’re still telling us to lower our unit prices. What’s the point of workers’ wages going up, anyway?
You end up thinking, "Looking at the big picture, it's actually going down, isn't it?"
That said, I do think the good thing about this is that it brings to light cases of illegal employment by foreigners and Japanese “hidden employees.”
As I mentioned the other day, there are companies—including front companies linked to antisocial groups—that pose as regular employees and have them work on-site.
That might be a good way to weed out those kinds of businesses.
The liability of the general contractor in the event of an accident is so immense that it’s terrifying just to think about it.
Since CCUS pilot projects will be making significant progress in Reiwa 3, this year will be crucial.
We subcontractors can’t possibly go against the tide of the country, so we’ll just go with the flow—but let’s just go with it while thinking, “What the heck?” lol
By the way, for companies with technical intern trainees, the CCUS registration requirement went into effect on January 1, Reiwa 2. As a general rule, it seems that if a company or a technical intern trainee isn’t registered with CCUS, they aren’t allowed on-site—which means most technical intern trainees out there can’t get on-site, lol.
I'll register so I can get on-site too, lol. Not that I should be able to get in anyway, lol.
Today I'm going to complete the CCUS registration! I pushed aside the quote I was supposed to work on today, lol.
If we register CCUS, it’s okay to raise the quoted price by X%, right?
