It takes a while for the construction business to become fun!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Work

Is working as a slope maintenance worker fun?

Is working in the construction industry fun?

Is it fun? Or not??

I'd be happy if it made things even a little easier.

Want to get paid for taking even a little time off?

I don't think there's any problem at all if young people feel this way.

That goes without saying, and we older guys were like that once, too.

Nowadays, those of us in our 40s who are employed by companies have generally reached mid-level or higher positions.

With all those titles—Director of XX, Section Chief of XX, Construction Manager of XX, and Construction Supervisor of XX—I bet they’re getting their overtime cut lol.

I suppose that means my annual income is way up, though.

Even those people today used to think, “I want to play pachinko, even just a little!” or “I want to sleep, even just a little.” “I want to go out for drinks, I want to have fun!”

That's how it was! lol

Slacking off

Even the middle-aged guys who are usually so serious about their work used to slack off, be lazy, or cut corners.

It takes a while to really get into a job!

I actually think it's rare to find people who dive right in and go all out from the very beginning.

I think I started getting really into it around the age of 25.

Through various experiences—feeling frustrated at times, and going through cycles of success and failure—I gradually became deeply immersed in it.

Something happens that makes people get really absorbed in their work!

I feel like if I really get into it now, I’ll be able to glide right through to my 40s. (From there, it’s a whole new stage.)

It'll suddenly become a lot of fun (and a bit of a struggle, too).

On the other hand, there are a certain number of people who don’t get too into it. Those people are just fine in their own way, lol.

Life isn't all about work.

We spend one-third of our lives working and one-third sleeping.

Personally, I think it’s better to make the most of this one-third while I can. (Am I being greedy?)

I think it’s perfectly fine for some people to take it easy at work and prioritize their hobbies.

The God of Construction

Since you're going to do it anyway, why not dive right in and see if you can make it fun?

Please give this job a try.

When you look beyond what you’ve been pursuing, is what you see your boss’s incompetence? Your senior colleague’s laziness? A flaw in the company? Or your own inexperience?

I don't know. (It depends on the person.)

However, it is certainly true that there is a world visible only to those who seek it.

If you're going to do it anyway, I recommend giving it a try.

The fascinating world of civil engineering and the construction industry!!

See you later.
