Here's my review of this thing from the other day lol

I bought some bone-conduction headphones!

Here are the results after using it for about a week.

 

I'm going to try writing down the pros and cons.

 

Benefits

1. They put less strain on the ears than earbuds.

2. You won't drop it

3. The sound seems loud

4. Good battery life (lasts a full day, even when in standby mode)

5. It seems the other person can hear me clearly, too.

6. Prices start in the 4,000-yen range, so they're easy to buy

7. Helmets and glasses are also fine.

8. Since my ears are uncovered, I can hear surrounding sounds just fine.

 

Demerit

1. If you use it for a long time, the part that's being pinched starts to hurt lol

2. Since the volume heard by the other person varies, you may need to turn the volume up or down.

3. When you turn up the volume, the part that's touching it starts to vibrate, which feels ticklish.

4. When it's disconnected, I can't access it on my smartphone, so I have to switch back and forth every time.

5. Since the ears are open, you can't hear as well in noisy places (but you can hear quite well if you wear earplugs).

6. Slightly muffled sound (maybe because of the bones?)

7. Sometimes it's hard to hear unless you're in the right spot.

Overall, it's good.

 

It's especially great for someone like me who's had their ears get damaged (dried out) from wearing earbuds lol

Thanks to you, my ear is feeling much better now.

It looks like I'll be fully recovered in about a week.

 

I'm thinking of using both.

These earphones are actually pretty good, so it would be a waste to throw them away.

PLANTRONICS Bluetooth Wireless Headset

These Plantronics earbuds are the best in terms of both sound quality and comfort, but I couldn't handle the dryness lol

Come to think of it, maybe it's because I had the sponge on...

Would it stop hurting if I took the sponge out?? lol

However, the quality of these Plantronics products can be a bit hit or miss! (But if they're genuine, they come with a one-year warranty, so you can rest assured.)

 

And there's one more luxury item that's caught my eye!

OpenComm AfterShokz Bone Conduction Earbuds (For Phone Calls Only)

What a luxury item!

It also has very high ratings on Amazon.

If the bone-conduction headphones I'm using now break, I'll probably get a pair of high-end bone-conduction headphones next, lol.

In this day and age, headsets and headphones are a must-have, so I recommend all of them.
