Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
It's December already!!
There's not much of this year left.
Never have an accident! Don't panic! Let's do our jobs with our usual calm attitude.
There's absolutely no point in everyone just getting anxious, so,
Let's be extra careful ^^

But that's beside the point.
Basic Principles of Landslide Mitigation Measures (Part 1)
Basic Principles of Landslide Mitigation Measures (Part 2)
This post is a continuation of the last one, lol.
This is the groundwater drainage project for No. 3.
This is one of our jobs, isn't it?
Water is the cause of most landslides.
First, drain the water! This is the most important thing.
Construction to Control Groundwater!

We often carry out work on collection wells and drainage boreholes, don't we?
The illustration above shows a catch basin.
We'll install a liner plate on the mountain and start digging straight down from that point.

Once we reach the bottom, we will drill a radial dewatering borehole.

As a result, water from the surrounding area flows into the sudden low-pressure cavity that appears inside the mountain.
Water in an area of high internal pressure (saturated state) flows out toward an area of no pressure (outward) because
It's only natural, so it just keeps piling up.
The water that accumulates in that collection well is drained through a drainage hole.
If more water accumulates than is discharged, the well will become completely full of water. (Obviously, lol.)
In that case, we might be forced to perform some extremely difficult drilling just to install drainage holes from other catch basins lol

The photo above shows the process of discharging the drilling slurry that accumulated inside the casing (at the bottom of the well) after drilling.
The tube coming out of the right side of the body wrap is the drain hole. (I've got a Suipon in there, lol.)
In addition to these, there are also horizontal boring projects directly into the mountain and drainage tunnel projects.

For companies that carry out landslide prevention work, this is the most basic type of construction project.
Why are we carrying out this kind of construction work?
I think it's important to be fully aware of this, so please be sure to keep it in mind ^^
See you later
