I heard that one of our employees, Mr. K, has already shown signs of heat exhaustion for the first time this year.

But that's beside the point.
The other day, the local government asked me, “Isn’t there a procedure for what to do if a ground anchor comes loose?”
It's this moment, isn't it?
This is a basic point, but there are absolutely no procedures in place for when a ground anchor comes loose.
The descriptions in the Design and Construction Standards for Ground Anchors are fundamentally based on the premise that the anchors will not pull out.
For that reason, there is absolutely no mention of the omission, nor are there any instructions on how to handle it.
This is true for every type of work, but the procedures for handling emergencies are essentially passed down orally (from supervisors to subordinates).
I understand that you might choose not to mention it since poor workmanship isn’t necessarily the underlying cause, but it’s the craftsmen and technicians on that job site who have experienced all sorts of mistakes.
It really is such a waste, isn't it?
I sometimes think it would be great if there were something like a “Civil Engineering Failure Manual” for different types of construction work, lol.
In reality, ground anchors do come loose to some extent.
What should you do when this happens?
Since something that shouldn't have been left out was left out, we'll naturally have to redo the work.
I've had anchors come loose many times myself, so I think I know how to handle the situation to some extent.
I plan to write about that next time.

The reason I'm writing about this is that the other day, at a construction site we're working on, we had a ridiculous number of mistakes lol.
I can't go into detail at this point, but I plan to write about the cause and how to fix it soon.
