With the abolition of the Technical Intern Training Program, a new system will be established, but
It seems like you can basically switch jobs starting in your second year, lol.
Well, I suppose that's fine.
However, I think there’s a risk that this could lead to bias.
Basically, there are very few people who go through the Technical Intern Training Program with the intention of returning to their home country to put those skills to use!
Everyone has pretty much the same reason—it's all about the money.
So as long as it's easy and pays well, that's all that matters, and,
If the company next door offers even 10,000 more, I'd probably switch to them.
And since they're foreigners, disputes over money become much more common.
If a Japanese person makes a mistake, people will say whatever they want lol (which is a good thing, but they can be pretty outspoken).
We occasionally have errors in our entries—such as for overtime pay—and correct them the following month.
On the other hand, I won't say a word about the extra I've been paying because of my mistakes, though lol.
I wonder what kind of people these "experts" are, lol.
It would be great if there were people who’ve actually hired technical interns, though...
It does feel like people who probably have absolutely nothing to do with the matter are just making decisions as they please, but,
There's no way for us to know, lol.
Companies would also like it to be easier to dismiss technical interns.
It’s the same with Japanese people, but there are certainly quite a few trainees who act in bad faith.
I've heard that a company I know is also having a hard time.
I hope they’ll also consider allowing companies to make this choice on a yearly basis after hiring.
We had that happen at our house, too, but,
An intern became addicted to pachinko and started spending his paycheck on it.
Since he didn't have any money, he sent me a LINE message saying, "Something urgent came up with my family, so I'd like to borrow some of my paycheck in advance."
Of course, the company doesn't give advances. No way lol
If that happens, you won't be able to eat, and you'll lose your strength, right?
So if an accident were to happen on site, that would be a real nightmare, wouldn't it!
From there, the trainees started lending and borrowing money among themselves, and we started getting complaints that people weren't paying them back,
I don't know who the culprit is, but incidents like missing wallets do occur.
What do you think of employees like this (whether they're trainees or Japanese nationals)?
Like, just saying, "If the company bike gets all beat up, buy me a new one," or something like that,
Like taking company property back to the dorm without permission.
Companies have been putting up with all sorts of problems for quite a while now, after all.
I think it’s okay to terminate the contract if things aren’t working out for either of us a year from now.
Otherwise, companies would just be stuck dealing with nothing but risks, right? lol
There are plenty of good kids, but you can’t tell just from an interview.
I don't think a system that only benefits the interns is acceptable.
I do think it’s better when we’re both on the same footing, though.
Companies are also making a considerable effort and spending money to help them earn money.
I hope they'll improve the system so we can have an even better relationship.
Also, our organization has been certified as an “Excellent Internship Provider”—I wonder how that will affect things?
That's another thing I'm worried about.
Once everything gets reset, that's actually kind of awesome, lol.
For better or worse, we have no choice but to follow the rules, so I hope we can work together to make this a system that works well for everyone.
Lately, places like Nepal and Myanmar seem to be more popular than Vietnam.
All in all, it does seem like there are just too many Vietnamese people now, and they’re starting to come across as a bit arrogant.
I hear all sorts of stories like that.
There used to be a lot of Chinese people here, but now it’s mostly Vietnamese. I wonder who’ll be here in the next era~ lol
