Preliminary Results of Compressive Strength Tests on Mortar with Increased Mixing Temperature During Winter θ7

When it comes to winter spray application, mixing with hot water is the best way to prevent freeze damage!

We will prepare test specimens of this material and conduct tests on them.

The test samples mixed with hot water were left as is.

Since spray-applied formwork requires both one-week and four-week strengths, we’ll take core samples once the concrete is at least five days old.

 

Actually, it's best to aim for as close to 7 days as possible.

The reason for this is that during the winter, the wood takes longer to reach full strength, so the extracted cores are soft.

In the summer, 3 to 4 days are usually enough to build up strength, but you need to be careful in the winter.

After core extraction, proceed to the compressive strength testing facility.

 

So, regarding the test results—I haven’t received the official score report yet, but I know the scores, so I’ll go ahead and share them.

Plus, it's the middle of a cold snap, so it's freezing!!

Since the initial strength is high, there is a possibility of cracking, but that’s still better than freeze damage.
