The other day, we finished up at our current job site, so we're moving the equipment to the next one.

This site involved the installation of 3.7-meter rebar, making excavation extremely difficult, and the borehole walls were unstable.

It falls apart right away, so the slime doesn't come out.

So, my personal best was 18 in a single day.

One of our employees performed the operation a few days later.

Since it was a difficult mountain to dig in, I had given him all sorts of advice the day before.

The employees drank 12 bottles just in the morning...

Since we had finished the rest by 3:00 p.m., I’d say we must have drilled 25 to just under 30 holes, considering the extra time we had.

I heard that the employee was better at it, but to be honest, I didn't expect the difference to be this big...

I was actually pretty confident in my single-hole drilling, but I guess I just can't compete with pros who do it every day.

Degree of bit wear

The bit's cutting edge flew off when it hit the main anchor pin on the mounting frame, but isn't this wear and tear pretty extreme?

At this point, we actually can't achieve a bore diameter of φ65.

The bit diameter of the single-hole drill is exactly 65 mm.

That means if you use one site, it should be around 63 mm.

If you need to measure the bit diameter during an inspection or similar situation, you’ll need to have a brand-new one—or one that’s in near-new condition—on hand.

That said, if it’s in a section with loose soil, the hole diameter might end up a bit larger due to machine vibration or air, lol (though I can’t confirm that).

Actually, this clay bit isn't suitable for rock formations. It's not that it can't drill through them, but it doesn't perform very well.

But in the clay club, I'm unbeatable.

I get that the tip wears down little by little, but I didn't realize the shaft would wear down this much...

When it cuts like this, it usually means there’s a lot of sandy soil, and the cut looks like this.

Since this clay bit broke on this job site,

I used a standard cross bit of the back-blow and retract type.

When the back is blocked, with a retractable type, it feels like it cuts through even a little bit, so I feel like I can get out of there faster lol.

I always think it would be great if there were a tip on this part of the retrack too, so both sides could be filed down.

I'd love to ask a manufacturer to develop a retraction bit with a chip, lol.
