This has become a matter of life and death for us in the construction industry, lol.
During the summer, we...I work in an environment where the WBGT is consistently 28 degrees or higher, or the air temperature is 31 degrees or higher.
To begin with, even when the WBGT index is posted at general contractor job sites, it’s ignored.
Whether it’s there or not, construction won’t stop. (The government knows that, right?)
At construction sites, the WBGT index is like a "red light—cross with caution" sign.
Please remind everyone that if the WBGT index reaches 28 or higher and the temperature hits 31 degrees or higher (almost every day) during summer heat safety activities, the company executives will end up in prison, lol.
