Doing It Twice Makes the Process Go More Smoothly | Practice and Reflection

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

The other day, I went to a job site to do an on-site inspection.

We've already finished the estimate, so this is my first time on site lol

Well, normally I’d have to go check out the site and give an estimate, but since I can read blueprints to some extent, I just use my imagination lol

Imagination

That said, I don't know the details—like where the water comes from or where the plant is located.

However, I let my imagination run wild as I look at the drawings.

I guess this is just a feeling I've developed over the years.

That said, it’s still easier to just go there in person, though.

A long time ago, my boss told me to look at the blueprints and use my imagination before going out to the job site.

And he told me to think about how to manage it and how to carry out the construction.

Back then, I remember thinking, “What’s this old guy talking about?” but this is absolutely essential!

When this vision and the actual site align to a certain extent, even when I look at an empty construction site, I can picture the finished product!

You'll come to understand what the critical points are on the job site.

Reinforcing Bar Installer

Everyone, please take a look at the blueprints and visualize the site before you get there!

Please take a look at the cross-sectional and plan views.

I'll look at the floor plan to get an overview of the entire space.

Please look at the cross-sectional diagram and try to visualize the slope, the length of the slope, and the position of the rope.

What point do you use as the reference point for positioning rebar installers?

What kind of machine is used for drilling? Which subcontractor would make the job site a more enjoyable place to work?

What kind of problems might arise?

And so on—just imagining something like this brings a specific scene to mind, doesn't it?

Visualize the project from start to finish in your mind!

Since this is, in a sense, the second time we've implemented it, the process will go smoothly.

I already have solutions to problems and issues in my head.

I mean, this is actually only the second time we're working on a site like this, right!? lol

Let's live with a rich imagination!!

See you later.

Even in design work, we prioritize the site and go out to survey it, but the impression of the actual site differs from that of the drawings.
Sometimes things are different. Lately, I've been checking in advance using Street View.
The hot season is just around the corner, so please do your best to ensure safe operations.

      Thank you as always.
On-site inspections are important even during the design phase, aren't they?
Street View is very convenient, and I use it myself.

      Let's do our best!
