I uploaded a video of drilling with a down-the-hole hammer to YouTube.
This construction site is made of granite, so it's incredibly hard.
Depending on the machine's capabilities, you probably wouldn't be able to drill even one hole a day using a standard backhammer.
If you drill the hole using a down-the-hole hammer, you can drill 2.5 holes. (Each hole is 15 meters long.)
It takes even longer because the core drill is small and uses a spring drill, but large machines can’t fit on this site because it’s so cramped.
Small machines like this are perfect for situations like this.
Down-the-hole hammers do not use the machine's own hammer.
Please be careful, as using this may cause the machine and the down-the-hole hammer to collide and result in damage.
Since it's a single-hole drilling process, it won't take long to get used to it.
Anyone can drill a hole in half a day.
We use it a few times a year, too.
It's incredibly useful, so I can't do without it.
I recommend it.
However, since there is a lot of dust, you need to take care not to stir up dust as much as possible—for example, by using a pressure washer.
