Anything provided by the company is the company's property.

 

Back in the day, workers had to pay out of their own pockets for safety gear like safety harnesses. (I imagine there are still some companies that do that today.)

At Enta, the company provides everything.

And even though we’re supposed to have them returned when we leave the company, it doesn’t seem like that’s the norm, lol.

 

That's because people who don't return them seem to think they're their own property... (We'll have them return everything after they leave the company.)

That tendency is especially common among young people.

Well, sometimes younger people just don't know, so...

When handing them over, I need to make it very clear that if I don’t resign, I’ll have to return everything, but,

If it's company-owned, people tend not to take good care of it.

It's actually pretty beat up, isn't it...

The same goes for interns, but,

I find myself throwing things away as soon as they get dirty.

Even though some items can last a long time if they’re properly maintained and used.

 

If the company covers the entire cost, people tend to be careless with it and don't take good care of it; if they have to pay for it themselves, the expense is too high and they can't afford to buy it.

If a slope maintenance worker were to buy a full set of gear right now, it would cost at least 100,000, wouldn't it?

That's a huge expense.

It's a real strain on the eyes when it's used in such a cluttered way...

 

If you take good care of it and use it for many years, it will pay off.

That will eventually lead to a raise.

 

Everything about the company eventually translates into our salaries and benefits.

You don't necessarily have to think the same way you would when running a business, but I think it's good to use your imagination.

I wish people would adopt the mindset that everything we buy for the company is connected to everything else, lol.

 

Especially the interns!! They tend to have a strong "as long as I'm okay, it's fine" mindset.

That’s just how foreigners are.

I think anyone who has worked with foreigners will understand this well—what do you think?
