Day 4 of Golden Week?

We're actually working here, lol

Well, those who can take a break should do so, and for those who can't, that's just the way it is.

 

And today isThe Last Day of the Heisei EraThat's it!

Thirty years ago, I was 13 years old.

How old were you all?

It really makes me feel quite emotional to think that the Heisei era is coming to an end.

All things considered, it was a great time!

I started working during that time. (It was formerly Yamato Industries; now known as Toko Geotech.)

The bubble economy burst just before I started my first job.

When I was a first-year employee, the slope construction industry hadn’t yet been affected by the bursting of the bubble, but starting in my second year, my bonus went down the drain lol.

Since then, we have carried out construction and construction management on slopes throughout the country.

The projects where I felt I grew the most were the national highway project in Mie Prefecture and the Tokuyama Dam construction project in Gifu Prefecture,

Emergency construction work for the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake—probably the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s office on Sakurajima in Kagoshima Prefecture.

There are so many other places I’ve been to that I can’t list them all, but this is definitely a location that left a strong impression on me.

Also, since many of the projects had relatively long construction periods, I made a lot of acquaintances and friends on those sites!

I’m still on good terms with those friends to this day. Thank you very much.

And then came the Lehman Shock.

Enta was founded in 2008. Six months later, Lehman Brothers went bankrupt!

The impact gradually set in, and there was a time when I was so bored it was actually funny lol.

 

And now.

I've been through all kinds of ups and downs!

w At least I have the spirit to get back up no matter how many times I fall.

The Heisei era flew by in the blink of an eye.

 

In the end, I feel like I’m where I am today thanks to the support of so many people. (It’s a cliché, but...)

I’ve been both exhausted and healed by conflicts with others.

All of my connections have shaped who I am today.

I recall the faces of various people.

Some of them have already passed away.

There are still people who are battling illness.

I'm really glad I got to meet people like that.

I'm glad I got to experience the Heisei era.

That relationship will be carried forward into the Reiwa era.

 

What was it like back in your day?

I think I’ve gone through a lot of hardships to get where I am today.

It's important to look back on the past. It helps you appreciate the present more.
