I'm hard at work right in the middle of Golden Week.
We currently have three sites fully operational.
There aren't many cars on the road during Golden Week, so it's easy to get work done.
Still, I’m afraid this weekend is going to be another round of heavy traffic, which is going to be a pain lol.
But that's beside the point.
This is the casing hoist I made the other day.
It looks like it's hanging just right.
The clearance really is quite large.
Apparently, when it's hung, it shifts to one side and locks into place, causing an imbalance, and there's a gap of just over 10 millimeters on that side.
To align this as closely to the center as possible, I plan to weld a spacer on the inside.
By inserting 3.2-millimeter steel plates at four points along the diagonal, you can reduce the clearance—which is about 5 millimeters on one side—to approximately 2 millimeters.
Plus, since it’s unlikely to veer to one side, it looks like I’ll be able to raise it straight up next time.
