The other day, I did a little work on the jack cylinder because it was covered in scratches and leaking hydraulic fluid.
It’s the jack part of the drilling machine—you know, the part that gets buried in the ground or hits something...
First of all, the cylinder is a super important part, so you shouldn't hit it with stuff, right? lol

Cylinders serve as the “tendons” of construction machinery.
If a person's tendon is severed, they won't be able to bend their hand either.
This is a very important part.
These are the areas you should always protect when working.
Even so, scratches can sometimes occur from flying stones or the like.
If a small scratch causes a slight bump, please polish it with an oilstone.

Polish the surface while applying oil with an oil stone.
Kind of like deburring.
As for the large protrusion that still won’t come off, I guess I’ll just have to remake it, but this time I tried shaving off a layer with a lathe lol
Since machining a cylinder on a lathe is a bit of an unusual process, I can't really recommend it.
I bet the manufacturer would say, “No way!” lol

The first, battered one looks a little neater now.
The amount removed is approximately 0.04 mm to 0.06 mm.
Still, the surface turned out nice lol
The burrs came off cleanly, too—it looks great.

I installed it for now, and so far there doesn't seem to be any hot water leak.
It may seem like a small thing, but let's use our heads and think things through before spending money.
If it doesn't work out, just buy it.
I think the results of that experiment will be a valuable experience either way.
