Considering the Angle of Stress (Part 2) | Decisions on Construction Methods

This is a continuation of the previous post.

Here are some measures to take when the composite angle exceeds 20 degrees.

 

Situations like this are really a pain, aren't they?

But since I have no choice but to do it, I’ll do it—though I’ll try to find the simplest way possible.

 

For now, I'll just explore different methods without worrying about profitability.

Let's assume we'll apply a correction using Kakudo-kun for the 20-degree vertical angle.

 

1. Use of tapered plates.

2. Make adjustments along the edge of the zabuton frame.

3. Use two Kakudo-kun.

4. Cut away the earth.

 

1. Use of tapered plates.Tapered Plate

It's a chunk of iron that looks something like this.

This involves adjusting the angle using a tapered piece of square steel.

Use this to calculate the horizontal angle.

When making this tapered plate, if possible, creating a notch in the hole area will make the work much easier.

 

2. Make adjustments along the edge of the zabuton frame.

If there are zabuton frames or similar elements, start by correcting the parts that the zabuton frames can't fully correct.

That's definitely easier.

For example, since Kakudo-kun is already in the vertical direction, the horizontal direction is corrected using the zabuton frame.

The zabuton frame will become thicker, but since this increase in thickness requires a design change, let's discuss the modifications.

If you settle the zabuton budget in the final M3, you’ll end up with a pretty good amount. (The same goes for subcontractors, too.)

 

3. Use two Kakudo-kun.

It's not that it can't be done, but it's a hassle.

All four of them spin around, so it's a real hassle to keep them in place.

In that case, I'd recommend Taper Plate No. 1. (It's also more affordable.)

 

4. Cut away the earth.

It happens sometimes.

For example, excavating half of the natural ground and constructing the other half with concrete, etc.

But if the natural ground on the hillside side doesn't have enough bearing capacity, the concrete will crack all over the place lol.

I don't really recommend this because it makes the final appearance look bad. (The thin parts come off easily.)

Well, it’s easy to install and offers good value for the price.

I think there are various approaches depending on the specific situation.

There might be other possibilities as well.

Please make a proposal that takes into account workability and cost-effectiveness.
