I'm a little late with today's blog post lol

Things have calmed down a bit, so it looks like there might be some openings.

So we'll have to make do with a temporary fix.

Also, the outlet on the spray gun had become thin and developed a hole, so we're repairing it.

As usualWakazono ManufacturingI'll go there and have them fill the hole with welding.

Welding castings is generally difficult, so I leave it to the professionals.

Since construction machinery involves quite a bit of cast iron work, I had purchased welding rods for cast iron in advance.

What Is Casting?

Without this welding rod for castings, there's nothing we can do.

So, I filled the hole with welding. However, since the metal was already thin to begin with, I’ll use epoxy putty designed for metal.

Knead this and stick it onto the thin part of the outlet.

We'll apply a rubber sheet over it, and when we do, we'll make sure to apply the adhesive very firmly.

I recommend using shoe glue.

This starts to harden about a minute after you apply it.

It's great because it can withstand both heat and cold.

After that, just tighten the hose clamp, and you're done.

Since the epoxy putty for metal covers the thin areas, I think it will hold up for a while.

Ideally, I should have welded all the way around the steel plate, but since I didn't have the time, this is the kind of repair I ended up doing.

I used it today, and it worked like a charm lol

So, I'll order a new one in the meantime.
