Is there a construction boom?

This year, in particular, we've received an unusually high volume of orders.

It really makes you wonder, “What on earth is this??”

I usually get a reasonable amount of work every year, but this year I’ve been quite swamped with project management.

What about you all?

Well, it seems to vary quite a bit depending on the industry, but the pay for slope-related work is absolutely outrageous!

 

There's so much work that I can't help but wonder if even my boss made a mistake.

What happened to the leveling plan that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism mentioned before??

That thing where you spread out work orders evenly throughout the year instead of letting everything pile up at the end of the fiscal year.

I guess it’s difficult when you consider the need to use up the budget, isn’t it?

Or is this a sign of something to come?

 

Is something going to happen around next year?? A promotion?? Hmmmm...

It's kind of scary—it makes me wonder, "What on earth is going on? Why am I so busy?"

Every day, I receive calls from various major companies.

"Can we anchor it? What about the slope?"

They know our construction rates are high, yet they still call us—so I guess even the big companies must be really short on construction crews.

My seniors and juniors also ask me to help them.

However, given the current situation, where employees are already working under a demanding schedule, we must avoid overworking them.

I don't take on any more work because I believe taking on more would lead to an accident.

After all, if you don't have at least a little leeway and some reserves, things can get really tough.

 

Even so, the schedule is packed, and Sunday is my only day off.

If I knew it would be over after just one Sunday, I wouldn't mind working on my day off, but,

Otherwise, we don't perform construction work on Sundays.

I'm definitely taking the day off.

I'll do my best with early shifts and overtime!

If possible, I'd like to try taking two consecutive days off on a rotating basis around this time, lol.

It'll probably just become the norm eventually, anyway.

P.S. It doesn't look like there will be any openings until the end of November. (There might be some walk-in spots, though.)

In December, one more team will join the Anchor Group.

We’ve received bookings for January and February of next year as well, but we still have availability.
