I just found out about this recently, and I thought, "Wow, this is a great product!" lol

 

This is the bearing assembly inside the rotary percussion unit.

It is used inside the shank rod of our drilling machine.

Normally, I think parts like this would be made of gunmetal (cast brass).

However, this is primarily a high-strength brass-based alloy, and the black portion consists of solid lubricants.

That's why it doesn't matter if oil (grease, etc.) doesn't reach that part!

This product maintains its performance even without oil and has a long service life.

 

I'm planning to gradually switch all our machines over to this, lol.

Even if it costs a little more, it’s more efficient to have a longer lifespan and less hassle with replacements.

However, off-the-shelf products don't quite fit right.

So I'll tweak this a little.

This time, we adjusted the outer dimensions to match the machine, so the inner diameter is thicker.

For that reason, since the shank rod won't fit here, we'll use a lathe to enlarge the inner diameter.

Once you've ground it down to the specified inner diameter, it's done.

Apparently, if you soak this in oil for 24 hours, it becomes super powerful lol

Apparently, since it’s already the strongest right from the start, there’s no need to go that far, so wear and tear is kept to a minimum.

With this, I don't think we'll need to replace the parts in this section for the next few years.

In addition, since there will be less wear and tear, wobble should also be reduced.

 

This product is made by Oiles, which is a pretty well-known company, so I guess people who know it, know it, lol.
