Reinforcement Bar Installation Workflow: The Process from Order Receipt to Construction

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

This is an article I wrote previously on Ameblo.

I tend to forget things too, so I try to write them down and keep a record of them lol

Since it was quite well-received, here are the steps for inserting rebar.

But that's beside the point.

Order Received

( (purchased the book)

Review the design specifications and drawings
(Planning the mix design and construction plan for grout and cement slurry)

Ordering Materials
(Reinforcing Bar and Cement)

On-site inspection, verification of drilling locations (verification of hole numbers)
(Drawing Data and On-Site Verification)

If marking is required, check whether the items are arranged in a staggered pattern or not.

This is true even when working within legal parameters, but arranging them so they’re easy to pour is also

The Director's JobThat's it.

If scaffolding is required, have a scaffolder climb onto it (to check the width of the scaffolding)

For designs using anchor scaffolding, the width is 4.5 meters. For all other cases, the width is 2.0 meters.

Confirming the Scaffolding Assembly Location

(The vertical height from the pouring position, measured at the drilling angle, marks the start of the scaffolding.)

(Ideal Ground Level for Anchor Drilling)

Based on our estimate of when the scaffolding will be completed,

Scaffolding Completed

Ride-Along with the Rebar Installation Crew

Measuring Reinforcing Steel and Supervising Material Receipt (Material Inspection)

(Reinforcing Bar Length / Reinforcing Bar Diameter)

Start Drilling

(Check the angle and drilling depth on the drawing)

(Digital Slant / Measuring Rod)

Supervision of Cement Slurry Mixing

(Test specimen, flow value, NEXCO: temperature,(Mud Balance, Breeding, Salt Content)

(Flow cones, etc.)

Determine in advance the frequency at which photos of the drilling, insertion, injection, and pressurization processes will be taken.

(It’s safer to take pictures of everything, but it’s not necessary.)

Photograph all finished productsAlthough I am doing so,The situation is about one in every 10 locations

Drilling length, drilling angle, drilling diameter, positioning error, etc.Final Inspection
(Estimating the completion date based on the number of meters drilled per day)

Alignment Error (Bolt Scale)

Book a jack rental for around the expected date.

Unit jacks, etc.

FSC Fujiwara Industries, Inc.etc.

Measure and photograph the finished form of each level of the scaffolding every time a level is completed.

Prepare and submit a test plan for stress stabilization(Created during drilling)

(Check Td = design load in the design calculation sheet)

Confirmation Test

(Review design calculations, drawings, etc.) (Set up measuring equipment such as calipers)

FSC Fujiwara Industries, Inc.etc.

Witnessing the Verification Test

Dismantling of temporary scaffolding (if any)(Arrangements for removing the drilling machine, arranging for a truck)

Head Processing (A few photos per site are sufficient)

(A placeholder photo is needed)

Site Cleanup

*The setup process doesn't change much regardless of the drilling method used.

A flexible approach that is safe, easy to implement, and meets the standards

In addition, the installation of rock bolts requires the cooperation of slope construction contractors.

Rock bolts are always installed last.

For that reason, it’s better to install the formwork while also considering the concrete placement layout,

Ultimately, this saves time and effort and helps keep the construction schedule on track.

See you later.
