This is your last chance to see the cherry blossoms along the Gojo River in Iwakura City.

By this weekend, the cherry blossoms will have fully turned into leafy branches.

From here on out, we're in for a stretch of great weather, aren't we?

I hope this weather lasts as long as possible, but the rainy season is usually just around the corner, lol.

I really hate the rainy season lol (Well, I am a "rain man," though lol)

But that's beside the point.

The well-digging at the construction site that began a few days ago

We will drill a 14-meter-deep hole with a borehole diameter of φ135.

The strainer section (the part that draws in water) is 4 meters long.

Actually, due to atmospheric pressure, about 10 meters is plenty, but I left some extra room so I can suck it up from the bottom too, lol.

We plan to drill a total of three holes.

One of these three hoses will be set up to draw water at 100V, while the other two will be connected so they can draw water using a fire pump.

This is the "Iwata-Samejima Method," an approach we've been using for some time.

It takes at least five fire pumps running at full throttle to draw in water, but,

I'm thinking of increasing the diameter so it can be used.

The reason we're installing this well is, of course, for disaster preparedness.

Iwakura City, Aichi Prefecture, where our company is located, is also an area that will undoubtedly be affected by the Nankai Trough earthquake.

Even if a disaster were to strike, you can still get water at Enta's yard!

I think this is the best.

During a disaster, the one thing that’s overwhelmingly in short supply is drinking water!!

If you take precautions before a disaster strikes, you'll be able to manage, at least for the time being, right?

I hope it doesn't happen, but even if it does, I hope we can provide peace of mind to the local residents.
