Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
Did you know?
I hear there's a four-day weekend coming up lol

I think that, surprisingly, long weekends like this don't really affect us in the construction industry.
Surprisingly, there are some job sites where the completion deadline is fast approaching right now, and the schedule is getting really tight as we head toward the end of the year.
Can't take a break, can you? lol
Plus, August was pretty rough because it rained nonstop, wasn't it?
Our spray application has been delayed over and over again, and I'm practically in tears lol.
I'm pretty busy today because I have some community events and other things to do.
But with events being scaled back quite a bit due to COVID, in a way, this is a banner year, lol.
I know I'll probably get in trouble for saying this, but I'm actually glad there aren't many events.
Lately, I’ve also been serving as the local ward chief, and for some reason, as a slope maintenance contractor, I find myself actively listening to residents’ complaints and enthusiastically handling things like scrap collection—but one thing is crystal clear.
Old people have so much free time! (If he sees this blog post, he’s probably going to get really mad at me lol—though I doubt he’ll see it lol)

I guess they just don't have anything else to do.
The old lady who keeps reporting that the light at such-and-such place has gone out.
An 80-year-old granny who keeps pointing out that, since she’s turning 80 this year, things are tough in all sorts of ways.
An old man who keeps watching cars driving down a no-entry road and reporting them over and over again.
And then, amazingly enough, he completely, utterly, and carelessly forgets what he just said.
So the conversation just goes around in circles...
It makes me wonder, "Am I the one who's weird???"
Since that’s a path I’ll eventually have to take myself, it does make me a little sad, but if things are going to be like this, I’d rather go as soon as possible, lol.
Come to think of it, working with politicians and the elderly must be really tough.
Even if it's just part of the job, having to nod along and listen over and over again to an elderly person who keeps repeating the same thing is pure hell.
Serving as ward mayor has been a great learning experience for me.
But it's definitely one of those jobs I never want to do again, lol.

I’ll just keep plowing ahead with the slope work without saying a word!
It really hits home once you try other kinds of work.
Civil engineering is the best!
See you later.
