Junior high schools in Iwakura City, Aichi Prefecture, held their entrance ceremonies.
It’s pretty rare to have an entrance ceremony with absolutely no cherry blossoms, isn’t it? (lol)
But that's beside the point.

This is the installation of the pressure plate for the self-drilling rock bolt from the previous session.

That said, we filled the gaps as usual and installed the pressure plate.

We used Green Panels designed for concrete walls.
The most important challenge this time is crossing borders!
We carried out the construction work with the utmost care.
From the very beginning, the design was intended to keep the head section within 5 cm.
This was achieved by using and modifying a product called a "UFO cap" during installation.

This is the standard product. This is what the final product is supposed to look like, but since cross-border shipping was an issue this time, we modified it.


I cut off the threaded section where the cap would normally be attached.
So I won't be using the cap. (Not that I ordered one, though.)

I'll apply a rust-preventive coating and take this to the job site.

Cutting off the nut portion.
Use a transit to check the boundary, mark the nut, and cut it with a sander. Make sure the nut is tightened securely beforehand.
*The protrusion of the rod itself is approximately 3.5 mm and has been set to the absolute minimum in advance.

Since it was processed on-site, it got a few scratches, but I managed to cut it anyway.
If left as is, there is a possibility that the nut could come loose due to vibration or other factors, so we will fill the gap with weather-resistant caulk.

I filled the gaps all over the head with caulk.
I don't think there's much chance of catching anything with this.

After that, thoroughly remove the rust-preventive spray from the treated areas with paint thinner, and you're done.
As for the boundary overlap, we were able to install it so that the closest point was plus or minus zero.
It fit perfectly within the boundaries without even 1 mm of overlap!
Our slope construction team has never done such a precise installation before! (lol)
This is also the first time I've worked with materials for head processing.
It also looks like it runs straight through.
I'm glad the general contractor was pleased as well.
All that's left is to put together a short report, and then we're done.
