Visual inspections alone aren't enough when checking machinery! Be sure to check for loose bolts!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Thanks to the cold snap, it's gotten much colder all of a sudden.

Now is the perfect time to make the most of your electric heating vest!

Let's make the most of these handy tools!

The other day, I took apart and cleaned the spring drill.

The reason was that the hammer case was damaged.

The bolt hole where the bolt was secured had become stripped.

Because the bolt had been used while still loose, the vibration had worn it down, causing the threads to disappear.

This is something you might not usually notice, but when inspecting, don't just check the appearance—make sure to check the tightness of the bolts as well.

If anything, I think it’s better to focus on whether the bolts are tightened securely when inspecting machinery.

If a bolt rattles so much every time, is it because the bolt itself has worn down, or has the hole expanded?

It is highly likely that...

If possible, using a water-stopping tape in such situations can serve as a temporary fix.

The problem with using threadlocker is that it makes it impossible to remove the screw later. (If you absolutely must use it, stick to medium strength or lower.)

For sealing tape, I recommend Teflon sealing tape!

The main difference is that it can withstand high temperatures.

The temperature of percussion instruments and the like rises significantly due to hydraulic pressure.

That's why I'm a little worried about using regular adhesive tape.

It's just a temporary fix, but we'll make do with products like these for the time being.

Once the on-site work is complete and the part is ready for maintenance, weld over the screw threads once, then re-cut the threads.

This is really tough, lol.

Please be very careful to ensure that the bolts on the machine do not come loose.

See you later.
