I guess I was just lazing around for two days or so.

Well, I was definitely working a few hours every day, but sticking to my usual routine really helps me stay healthy.

But that's beside the point.

At the end of last year (last week, lol), I went to throw away some metal items.

You mean PC steel strands and steel bases, right?

These are the leftover materials from the temporary anchor extraction work.

Considering the hassle, it would be great if the general contractor would just throw it away, but they say they don't want to because it has grease on it, lol.

I totally get it! I hate it too, lol. You end up covered in oil...

So, when I go to dispose of it, something strange happens.

The pig iron is supposedly Grade A+, and the PC steel strands are supposedly Grade A-, but it’s different every time lol

Well, we're only talking about a few dozen yen, and even if you add it all up, it's not a huge amount, but little things like this add up, so it bothers me.

And when I asked the person making the decision, they said it seemed to be based on the judgment of the operating room staff at the time... I was totally like, “What?!”

Since there’s industrial waste to account for when it comes time to bill, the final amount is determined by offsetting it against the payment, but lately I’ve been worrying about it every single time lol

It just doesn't quite make sense to me...

If I had to say, since the weights of the PC steel strands and the steel base are known at the time of delivery, it’s not as if we can’t track them indefinitely...

If the industrial waste disposal company could explain things a little more clearly and straightforwardly, I’d be able to accept it, but when it’s all so vague, it just makes me feel suspicious.

That said, since it’s not a huge amount, I don’t really have anything to say about it, but it’s kind of on my mind… lol

In reality, even when it comes to weight, the classification—whether it’s Category A or Category B—is pretty arbitrary, which is probably why industrial waste disposal companies are said to make a good profit.

I generate quite a bit of mixed waste, so I feel a bit hesitant to complain, but mixed waste is actually pretty expensive!

But since they’re releasing a manifesto, I guess it’s like, “Let’s keep working together from here on out.” lol

The key to selling large quantities of scrap metal is to sort it by type as much as possible; this ensures you get a better price per unit, so it’s recommended if you want to sell it for as much as possible.
