Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
The tax audit for Izumi was successfully completed the other day.
They'll point out timing issues and minor mistakes.
When you run a business, mistakes are bound to happen.

Personally, I haven't done anything wrong, lol, so you can come anytime, but,
Even so, just the fact that this tax audit is coming requires a lot of checks and preparations.
A tax audit that doesn't make any money—it just costs you money.
The fact that people are even questioning whether we're doing things properly leaves a bad taste in your mouth either way.
Although the audit lasted two days and there were no major mistakes, starting next week, our tax accountant and the tax auditor will
It seems there are various adjustments being made.
The idea is that if there was an accounting error and you’re required to pay taxes, you should just pay them.
It’s like, “Just accept it as a mistake and pay your taxes properly, won’t you?”
I believe that paying taxes is a basic obligation, so I have no problem with it.
Since we public sector workers are funded by tax dollars, we’d really like to pay a ton of taxes and keep the money circulating, lol.
Also, the topic of discussion during the tax audit was invoice registration, and since this looks like it might become a bit of a hassle going forward, I wanted to let you know!

We usually just buy tools and materials at your average home improvement store or building supply store.
Then I hand that receipt over to the company to get reimbursed for the advance payment, but,
If the seller of the purchased goods is not registered for invoicing, the purchaser becomes liable for the tax.
(There are some who say that advance payments are a good idea, but the matter is still under debate in the Diet.)
I went out for drinks at a company party, got a receipt, and submitted it to the company, only to be told that this vendor isn't registered for invoicing, so it wouldn't be accepted...
This means that, basically, the drinking party will only take place after we’ve determined whether the vendor is registered for invoicing.
When it comes down to it, if you're not registered for invoicing, you can't even shop or eat out...
Especially with the big companies—their accounting departments seem pretty strict, lol. It looks like it'll be tough, lol.
National Tax Agency: Information Leaflet on the System
Surprisingly, this isn't just an issue for sole proprietors; it seems problems are also arising with the materials purchased by companies.
However, since this system is not mandatory, some businesses choose not to participate.
This means that the vendors we work with in the future may change to some extent.
I think we business owners should naturally be aware of this, but I suspect many salaried employees aren't.
However, please be aware that this is likely to become a key factor to consider when making future purchases.
Looks like an “Invoice-Registered Business” sticker is about to show up at the store entrance lol
See you later.
