No matter the era, the most important thing is having the right information right away! That’s the key to seeing what lies ahead!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

This is the time of year when there are a lot of general meetings, isn't it?

This is a busy time of year for general meetings on construction methods, safety conferences, and various other gatherings.

KTB General Meeting

I generally try to attend the meetings of the groups I belong to as much as possible.

Otherwise, I’d have almost no connection to the group, and I might end up not seeing anyone at all, lol.

Well, we do use construction methods, but even so, it’s still important to meet face-to-face with the salespeople and talk with them every now and then, isn’t it?

Still, it's a lot of work running around all over the place.

Last week, it was Aichi–Tokyo–Saitama–Tokyo–Aichi–Tokyo–Nagano–Aichi, and so on...

All over the place, lol

As expected, my butt split wide open...

Well, since it's only once a year, I'll keep at it for now.

The real appeal of gatherings like this is the exchange of information.

"That site, this site—it's like this over there, and like that over here," and so on.

I see this as an opportunity to learn in detail about information and technologies that I haven't had the chance to experience myself.

To be honest, the general meeting itself is just a formality, so I think it’s fine to keep it simple, but the social gathering afterward is extremely important.

A lot of you might be thinking, “That’s not really the case for most people, is it!?”

However, it’s really interesting because everyone tends to casually mention important things.

It’s fun because behind-the-scenes stories like this often only come up in social settings like this, over drinks.

I write it down in my phone's notes app and save it so I don't forget it, lol.

And when the moment calls for it, he speaks as if he owns the place!!

It's nice to have a few little jokes here and there, isn't it? ^^

Safety meetings are also very effective for raising safety awareness, but since not all workers from every company attend, there is a disconnect between the meetings and the actual worksites.

However, I believe that by sharing what we learn at safety meetings with our own employees—whether through materials or methods—we can start moving in a slightly better direction.

Based on various pieces of information, I consider various possibilities, look ahead, imagine what lies ahead, and take action.

It really is a battle for information, no matter the era.

You really should do whatever it takes to get information.

See you later.
