Unsafe Behaviors Due to Carelessness and Distraction | Accident Prevention

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

I did it...

It’s been a while since I’ve had that “Oh no!” moment...

Crane Remote Control

The remote control for the mobile crane...

Our mobile crane is a self-operated model with automatic outriggers.

So, when I was putting everything away, I ended up going around to the other side because of the work I was doing, and I left the remote control sitting on top of the outrigger.

It looks like it got stuck when I stowed the outriggers without even looking for the remote lol

Man, that really gets me down, doesn't it?

After all, this remote costs about 200,000, right?

Wow~~~

This is the worst~~~

I was so bummed that I even thought, "Maybe I should just go ahead and replace it with a 4-ton model," lol.

It was getting late in the afternoon, and I was in a hurry because I thought that if I didn't move the truck, it would hold up the rest of the work.

It's a shame that a momentary lapse in concentration and a lack of focus led to this.

For now, I sent a quick apology via LINE to my employees since this is causing them some trouble.

It's really just a small thing, but let's all be extra careful at work.

Based on my mistake this time, I plan to issue a reminder to all employees.

That's Heinrich's Law, isn't it?

Heinrich's Law

I think this is unsafe behavior.

The cause was that the machine was operated without first checking.

It's really expensive for something that's considered unsafe, though...

Let's pull ourselves together and do our best this week!

(I'll let you know again when the new one arrives. Meow, lol)

See you later.

Oh man, I really messed up there... I guess it’s a small price to pay, considering no one got pinched or hurt? Those automatic self-extending cranes stick out quite a bit to the side, and they’re pretty extravagant, after all. Even if replacing it with a 4-metric-ton model is just a joke, it’s still such a waste, lol. If the RC transmitter’s still working, I’d probably just buy a used one and carefully swap out the insides.
