We actually do seed spraying, lol. (We get requests for it a few times a year.)
The photo is one I found online.
And, you see,
We don't have a hydroseeder! (A hydroseeder is a machine used for seed spraying and slurry spraying.)
But I do get work.
And since there wasn't enough of a benefit to justify buying one (the scope of work was small), I thought I'd just make something decent myself.
The materials you'll need are:
A water tank with a capacity of about 1.2 cubic meters
2. Hand mixer
3. Generator
4. Pump
For now, this is all you need to get started right away.
There are some simple seeders available these days, but they’re pretty expensive, so a company like ours can’t afford them lol (Our annual workload is just too small for that).
2 m³ tank: Approximately 150,000 (manufactured in-house: steel)
Hand mixers: 2 units × 30,000 = 70,000 (including miscellaneous expenses)
Generator: Made in Japan, approx. 2.5 kW (150,000)
Pump KOSHIN 200,000
Miscellaneous small parts and components: 100,000
Total: 670,000 ≓ 700,000 yen
If the machinery and materials alone are all it takes to get this far, maybe I'll just go ahead and make it, lol.
This is just a tentative plan, but since we’re designing the water tank to be usable at other job sites as well, it can be used as a water tank even at sites where seed spraying isn’t required. (We’ll build it so it can be used.)
That way, you can use the pump anywhere, and you can repurpose the generator as well.
It's convenient because not everything is dedicated, and there's no waste.
Today, I'm drawing up those blueprints and placing an order for the parts!

Since we handle machine maintenance in-house, we also do welding and other tasks, so we work by teaching each other as we go.
