It's that kind of hot weather, isn't it?
Let's make sure to take proper precautions against heatstroke while we work!
But that's beside the point.
I bought a pump the other day.

It's a tube pump, isn't it?
I've always thought this, but aren't these kinds of pump joints kind of inconvenient??
Victoric joints are used in every plumbing system!

So that's what it is.
Align the pipes, insert the rubber gasket, and secure the edges with metal clamps.
It's really inconvenient, isn't it?
Most pump systems come with a "G-color" fitting. (Pipes use an "S-color" fitting.)

It's a dent like this, right?
Insert the rubber from the Victoric Joint here, and then attach the metal fitting.
Without it, you won't even be able to connect.
You're probably thinking, "Huh?"
So, I modified this into a versatile version lol

This is screw machining.
This G-collar is a 1½ size, and the collar portion has been machined to fit the screw directly.
Now you can use a 1½-inch reducer socket.

I was able to install the reducer socket perfectly as well.
I've decided that starting next time, I'll process the parts on my machine this way!!
Honestly, even without a Victoric joint, it’s definitely better to be able to do the plumbing as long as you can just run to a home improvement store!
It would be nice if manufacturers took that into consideration, but I wonder if it’s really right for them to just assume that G-color is the norm...
Lately, my lathe skills have been improving, so I’ve gotten to the point where I can make just about anything lol (something as simple as a mixer shaft).
Thanks to that, I can cut threads on just about anything. It really goes to show that if you have the right tools and the motivation, you can do anything!! lol
