Surrounding Yourself with People More Capable Than You | An Environment for Growth

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

I got a call from someone the other day.

Well, they were someone I felt nostalgic about, but also someone who betrayed me, lol.

However, since we’ve known each other for over 20 years, we’ll eventually go back to being just friends.

And yet, here I am, forgiving others even after being betrayed so many times.

I find things like this kind of strange.

I'm pretty resilient when it comes to being betrayed, and to be honest, there are times when it doesn't really bother me.

However, it seems I’m more forgiving than I thought (though it feels a bit weird to say that myself, lol), and if someone apologizes, I don’t really hold it against them—I just think, “Oh well, it’s fine.”

I think I'm the type who can generally let things slide, lol.

However, when it comes to people I absolutely cannot forgive—or rather, people I can’t stand—I really hate those who manipulate others for their own convenience, easily discard them when it suits them, and refuse to take responsibility.

To top it all off, I really hate people who blab on and on to those around them about whatever suits them best just to save face.

I try to avoid having anything to do with people like that ever again.

Other than that, I guess I can live with it—though I do end up forgetting about it halfway through, lol.

When I thought about that, I wondered what kind of person I should date.

The kind of people I want to work with or date are,

People who are more capable than I am!

I want to work with people who have qualities that I don't.

For example, this applies to qualifications, licenses, and personality, among other things.

We don't need shitty people like that lol

Everyone has their own strengths. If I think someone is better than me, I’d like to work with them.

I find myself thinking, “I want to take that in—I want to experience that feeling!”

That’s exactly why the employees and executives currently working here are better than me in some way or another.

To put it bluntly, just being young is like carrying a weapon, lol.

They say, “When you’re old, you should listen to your kids,” lol.

Growth

Simply working with people who are more capable than I am helps elevate my own thinking. It gives me time to reflect.

I think this alone is a sign of growth.

I think there are many challenges that come with working alongside people who are more capable than you are.

But there's a lot to gain, too.

If you're immersed in red, you'll turn red

What kind of people do you hang out with? Do you have a job?

If you spend time with highly capable people, there’s a very good chance that you’ll eventually become highly capable yourself.

The reverse is also true.

If you want to grow as a person, who do you choose to spend time with and work with? You know exactly what I mean, right?

Please take a moment to look around you.

I think this will give you a good idea of how much you've grown.

I think I'm in a really fortunate situation, don't you think? lol

See you later.
