The other day, someone asked me about the method for unloading in ground anchor construction.

I think there are various ways to unload cargo.
Basically, once it’s become ingrained and you’ve cut off any room for flexibility, it gets pretty difficult, but,
If it's still in place, you can pull it out with a jack to remove the wedge.
I think it's easy.
However, if you've cut off the excess length, you won't be able to pull it back with a jack.
I think we’ll need a fixture or a special jack of some kind that allows us to perform lift-off tests on the anchors.

It's not like there's no other way to do it, but it gets a little dangerous lol.
In the past, I’ve had to relieve the load on several anchors that became over-tightened after slipping during installation.
It's pretty scary, but once you get used to it, it's no big deal.
However, since I don't want this to be common knowledge, I don't talk about it in public.
Well, if you're really stuck on the job and absolutely have to know, I'll tell you, though lol.
Other than that, the easiest way to remove the load is to twist the PC strands in the wedge section with an iron awl, as the KJS Association does—that’s the quickest method.
Plus, you don't even need any special equipment—anyone can do it using a magnetic drill press.
However, it may be necessary to modify the jig.
I think this will likely be a pretty essential skill going forward, especially from the perspective of maintenance and management.
It might be a good idea to think about ways to do that easily (and safely).
