When installing ground anchors, do you ever find that the angle adjustment base or support plates shift slightly during tensioning and setting?
It’s fine when the design load is low and the tension jack is light, but
It’s really tough when the design load is high and the tension jack is heavy, isn’t it?
And on top of that, it gets even harder when you add an angle-adjustable base and a pressure plate, right? lol
It's always a little off, isn't it?
It's pretty annoying.
How to Install the Angle Adjustment Base
This is my method: First, I decide on the installation angle.
Basically, Kakudokun is a composite angle, so it is determined by combining the upper angle and the lower angle.
Be sure to color it in with a pen.
I'll make sure that part is at the top.
Make sure the lines line up when you put them together.
Now, imagine that this line is directly above. (Draw the line that way.)
If possible, it would be easier to understand if you marked the center on the bottom support plate as well.
If you apply the right amount of tension using this line as a guide, you’ll get it to the right spot, so even at a glance, the angle will look just right.
If you draw lines for everything first, anyone can easily align the pieces and produce neat results.
I highly recommend this because even interns can do it without having to think too much.
Things that are hard to put into words will start to go smoothly from next time if you try doing them this way.
It's the same for Japanese people, though.
