Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
We’ve been selling Iwakura-style yakisoba and roasted sweet potatoes at the Fureai Festival, which has been taking place in Iwakura City, Aichi Prefecture, for the past few days.

Sweet Potatoes That Just Won't Roast

Usually, people from different industries get together just for that day to cook yakisoba.

From car dealers to welders, plumbers, real estate agents, licensed professionals, insurance agents, web designers, carpenters, civil engineers, and slope stabilization specialists.
There are people from various other industries as well.
The town festival is run by volunteers from among those who said that.
Since the group can’t function unless everyone pitches in, we’re all doing our part little by little to help each other out.
Let’s all do what we can, little by little. If this makes the festival more fun, that in itself will make us feel happy, won’t it?
I do think it would be a little livelier if there were a few more street vendors, though.
Apparently, there's all kinds of stuff going on in that industry, lol.

In the Kazutoyo Procession, the roles of the foot soldiers are played by local high school and middle school students.

This year, Mayor Kubota (playing the role of Oda Ise-no-kami) participated in the procession on horseback.
Of course, we’re in charge of everything from setup to cleanup, and when there’s a line, we direct and lead the way lol.
The Iwakura Fureai Festival lasts two days, so it's super tiring.
I guess this is what it means to live in a small town...
Just seeing how happy the local customers are makes me feel good, so I’m starting to think volunteering isn’t so bad after all,
I've been thinking about this for the past 10 years.
And just thinking, “Ahhhh—another year is over!” makes my evening drink taste even better lol
But since I usually only work in the mountains, I get tired of crowds.
See you later.
