A system that combines blackboard data with photographs for electronic submission has been launched for projects directly managed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

To put it simply, you enter numbers and other information into the blackboard data displayed on the screen, and then,

Place the data wherever you like on the screen, then snap a photo.

This refers to site photos, as-built photos, and quality control photos.

It's probably difficult to do this with a small compact digital camera, so,

Smartphones and tablets will probably become the mainstream in the future.

Actually, it already exists, lol.

I think there were some pioneers who were already doing it, even though they didn’t have official permission.

It's convenient, after all.

I was just curious about it—I’ve never actually done it, but,

I knew it would turn out this way lol (I heard a little something from a certain source).

When taking photos, they are organized into folders (by type of work) during shooting and are categorized accordingly during import.

Since I have a photo of the finished blackboard data,

As for as-built documentation, the data should be entered automatically once the photos are uploaded.

At first, though, we’ll need to agree on the data specifications for both the hardware and software sides.

That thing people call "standardization"I see...

I really hate standardization, but since this makes on-site management easier, I guess it's okay.

However, when it comes to managing photos going forward,It means it becomes difficult to stand out.That's it.

And I bet the examiner will say something like, “Just because everyone does the same thing doesn’t mean you’ll get extra points,” lol.

 

Will there be a smartphone or a tablet designed for construction work?

Equipment is getting more and more expensive.

I imagine the dedicated software would be pretty pricey, too.

However, the amount of work just keeps shrinking along with the construction crew, and

All the contractors I've talked to have said they don't have any work this March...

I definitely think that making things more convenient is a great thing.

But I can't buy that unless I have a job, right? lol

Lately, the construction industry has been a bit bewildered by this new trend.

The same goes for i-construction, doesn't it?

Between buying the software and the equipment, it all adds up to over 10 million, doesn't it?

Drones: 1–2 million (surveillance models)

3D Laser Scanner: 8 million and up (within the range suitable for construction projects)

Point cloud processing software: Starting at 1.5 million...

CAD software: 1 million and up

Total Station: 2 million and up

 

Personally, I love it! Especially this field.

But here's the thing. How many years will it take to gather and start using equipment of this caliber?

After all, we can't just outsource everything to consultants, can we...

This is part of the trend toward standardization, isn't it... just like CALS back in the day...

 

I mean, you don't have a job, right? lol
