The other day, a post like the one below appeared on X.

After graduating from the Faculty of Science at Kyoto University, I was tossed about by the rough waves of society and, against my will, became a temporary worker. However, no matter how hard up I get, I will not waver from my personal belief that “a person’s educational background determines their worth.” Even as a matter of social courtesy, I don’t want to say, “Your educational background doesn’t matter once you enter the workforce.” I don’t consider myself to have fallen so low that I have to pander to people with lower levels of education.

That's quite the line of thinking, lol.

I think it's okay for people to have different opinions, but it feels like it's hard to accept, doesn't it?

 

Civil engineering is a field where opportunities are available to everyone, from top-tier elites to those who only graduated from junior high school.

In fact, it’s a profession that even former criminals can get a fresh start in.

In fact, our facility also accepted youths from juvenile detention centers.

(Everyone jumped, though lol)

 

I attended a technical school specializing in surveying, so I didn't go to college.

That's exactly why I think it's an educational background complex, lol.

I always find myself thinking, “People who graduated from college must be really smart, huh?” (I’m just being self-deprecating, lol)

 

That said, it’s a tough society where, even if you have a degree, you won’t be needed if you can’t do the job.

Highly educated and intelligent → High-performance engine
Social Skills → Steering Gear
Communication Skills → Tires
Only when these elements are well-balanced can a car be called a supercar.
There are some highly educated people at my company who aren't very practical, but they just talk a lot and can't actually do anything.

That's exactly what I mean, lol.

That's a really clear and easy-to-understand way of putting it, isn't it?

You know those people who can't do their jobs but are always making a big fuss, right?! LOL

 

Suppose that

Low Education Level → Standard Engine, Prototype Engine

 

Even so, if they’re someone with strong social and communication skills and a proactive attitude,

I can get more work done than those who just go on and on!

And everyone needs them.

 

Educational background is also important.

However, once you enter the workforce, the ability to adapt, be flexible, and take initiative—all of which draw on those skills—is crucial.

There are many people with such high levels of education working as design consultants.

The same goes for major general contractors.

 

Our job is to work alongside those people to build structures.

Some people might be like, “Huh?”, but just think of them as the ones going “Won-won” lol

We've got plenty of them on our construction side, too, lol

 

Well, I guess it just means that regardless of educational background, some people are capable while others aren't.

Pride can get in the way depending on the time and circumstances, so even if you have it, it’s probably best to keep it to yourself.

This is just my personal opinion, but I believe that people who can work on-site are highly adaptable.

This is someone who can successfully manage any difficult situation by effectively utilizing funds, schedules, resources (people), and specifications.

I tend to think that people who immediately say, “I can’t do that,” lack experience and knowledge.

Well, sometimes it's possible, and sometimes it's not.

It's also an option to think it through as much as possible and settle for a conditional solution.
