It's just full of mistakes, isn't it?

Isn't this design terrible??

I hear that a lot from the field, lol

I think construction companies and supervisors have had plenty of experience with this sort of thing.

Of course, I have some, too.

But actually, this is only to be expected.

I remember grumbling quite a bit back in the day and even complaining to the consultants... lol

However, that's the nature of the division of labor.

Construction consultants draw up blueprints from scratch and design roads entirely on paper.

Confirm the site; check the structure’s boundaries, width, height, rebar placement, and whether the slope will be cut away—will rebar be inserted, or will ground anchors be used?

They will survey the terrain from scratch and select the construction methods and techniques best suited to it.

And so, we install roads, guardrails, and anchors along that route.

In such cases, we will consult with the local government regarding any discrepancies with the site conditions and proceed with construction accordingly.

To put it bluntly, if the construction consultants don't do the design, we contractors can't do anything.

There is an existing slope, and even just restoring it will be quite a challenge without a design plan.

The design firm handles the overall design, and the construction firm carries out the work on-site, making detailed adjustments as needed.

If there are any discrepancies with the on-site conditions at that time, we will consult with the local government to make changes (adjustments) and complete the work on-site.

Since construction consultants aren't construction professionals, they can't possibly understand the finer details of construction—and, in fact, I don't think they even need to.

However, if the design philosophy is too at odds with local conditions, there’s naturally a chance of conflict, but since we’re adults, let’s draw the line somewhere.

We contractors work closely with the designers.

If either one is missing, the work can't get done.

The design changes I make are only possible because I have the original design to work from; if I had to start from scratch, I’d probably get fed up with it lol.
