Lately, I've been struggling because I couldn't figure out the basis for the seed-blasting mixture lol

The thing is, I’ve never supervised a seed-blasting project myself!

The only aspect of construction management I have experience with regarding seed-blasting work is post-construction surveying.

So, when I looked into the basis for the seed-blowing construction plan, did I end up back at NEXCO’s A and B after all?

The general contractor sent me another company's mix design, asking, "Why don't you do it the same way?" but I don't understand the rationale behind it.

I suspect this information is probably included in some agriculture and forestry specifications, but I don't have any agriculture and forestry specifications...

Hmmmm... This is the first time in a while I've been stumped, lol.

It doesn't really seem like something I should be worrying about that much, but when someone points something out to me, I absolutely need to know the basis for it!

If someone asks me, “Why did you choose this formula?” I can’t just say, “Years of experience!”

I want to formulate a mix based on NEXCO's A-type spray mix so that I can make adjustments as needed to suit the local environmental conditions.

I realize that this type of work doesn't really require that kind of thinking, but it's so simple that it's actually hard! lol

I just want to make sure I have at least a basic understanding of the theory.

Is an engineer who can't provide an answer when asked one still an engineer? (It doesn't have to be an immediate answer, but they should provide one.)

Since it's important to come up with an answer, you need to gather the information needed to arrive at that answer from the very beginning.

That way, you can easily arrive at the answer, and from the other person’s perspective, there’s no need to ask the question.

I know to some extent that government agencies tend to hit where it hurts.

That's why I'm asking this on purpose.

Isn't it amazing to have construction management that leaves no room for error!? (I'm still a long way from being that good, though.)

Every now and then, you come across an amazing construction manager like that!! You really learn a lot from them.

Since I tend to mess things up a lot, I'm the type of person who wants to prepare as much as possible to handle situations, so,

If you set things up so you can recover from a mistake, you won't cause any trouble for anyone.

I guess I'll go ahead and buy the Agriculture and Forestry spec sheet too lol

I'll go ahead and buy the latest version of NEXCO, too... lol
