The reason is that the job involves splitting massive boulders.
"I want you to split this huge rock."
As slope contractors, we usually break the rocks on the slope pretty easily to fit the slope’s shape, don’t we?
Normally, a stonemason would use a chisel to do this, but,
Apparently, he's nowhere to be found right now.
I imagine there are quite a few slope contractors who have split rocks before, but,
It seems no one can find it because they don't know that the slope workers split stones.

When I think about it, I realize that slope maintenance is a line of work where you can really do just about anything.
It's a real jack-of-all-trades—it can even cut rocks and slope faces by hand, lol.
Slope maintenance companies may continue to exist in the future, but,
Jobs in the stone industry are really disappearing, so maybe they've gone extinct...
It looks like "stonemason" is really going to be dropped from the construction business license, lol.
I think civil engineers can handle that sort of thing to some extent, don't you think?
I wonder what's going to happen from here on out...
The number of specialized jobs is steadily declining, isn't it?
Professional roles cannot be sustained by efficiency measures such as digital transformation in the construction industry.
If doing things by hand becomes more efficient, then you're not a pro anymore, lol (just a total klutz).
