Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
Something new is starting again tomorrow!
Stay tuned^^
But that's beside the point.

When I'm installing temporary anchors, I always get stuck in that sandy silt lol
Plus, it’s packed pretty tightly, so if you hit it with a hammer, the tip gets clogged.
On my first cast, I got the line tangled a few times, and once I had to retrieve the leader.
I was more careful starting with the second one, so I was able to drill the holes without any trouble.
As is usually the case on any set, I’m always very careful with the very first take.
And things just aren't moving forward, are they?
Sometimes, if I go into something thinking it’ll be a piece of cake, things can end up going completely off the rails, so I proceed cautiously and take things step by step—but even then, there are still some minor problems.
This is particularly likely to occur the longer the drilling length is.
Even though it was another anchor just under 30 meters this time, and I was being pretty careful, I still got stuck. (Well, I guess it’s partly my skill, too, lol.)
Clay and silt are really a pain when it comes to ground anchor work.
It’s kind of annoying when that sort of thing becomes the norm, isn’t it?
I can't help but wonder, "Is the circumferential friction really going to be okay??" and I'm a little worried about how well it will hold up once it's in place.
If I can get just one anchor to hold, I’ll feel a little more at ease. (That said, anchors are incredibly reliable, lol.)
We’ve built in quite a bit of margin in the design, so I think it should be fine, but there are a few cases where it might not work.
You really need to be careful, especially when the base layer is clay.
And pressure injection definitely doesn't work, lol (especially with clay and silt).
(I’m basically in the “I don’t care about compression” camp, and I think that if you’re going to use compression, it’s pointless to alternate between compression and decompression.)
Clay and silt layers can be quite a challenge in ground anchor construction, in more ways than one.
Once you get the hang of the subtle balance of force (between your favorite character and the hammer), things will go smoothly, so you'll just have to be patient until then, lol.
Once you've dug a few, you'll get the hang of it right away.
Well, I guess it'd be fine to just use a big pump to blast out water, but,
We can't use water the way we used to—these days, we're told to use less water, lol.
See you later.
