It's November, and even though it's wide-ranging, it's not cold...

You can get by in short sleeves during the day, right? (Not that I’d actually wear short sleeves, lol)

This year feels kind of intense.

Isn't it possible we're in for a really mild winter followed by a massive snowstorm!?

So, the issue is that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has recently changed its stance on chain regulations.

Up until now, even when chain restrictions were in place, it was still okay to use studless tires, right?

But things will be different from now on.

Even if you have all-season tires, you must use snow chains during periods when snow chains are required. (At designated locations)

To be honest, it's a huge hassle!

I suppose it’s probably due to the accident that occurred during last year’s heavy snowfall on the Sea of Japan coast.

It was a serious situation in which people got stranded on studless tires, and there were even fatalities.

I certainly understand what you're getting at, but this will probably cause traffic jams in places we never imagined.

I had to put snow chains on my tires on a snowy winter road, and to make matters worse, there was a traffic jam.

I don't know...

Well...Certain criteriaIt seems there are some exceptions, so it doesn't appear to apply to every single case.

It looks like chains are going to sell like hotcakes this year.

If you live in a snowy region, or if you go to snowy mountains for work or recreation, you really should keep this in your car at all times.
