How Do Accidents Involving Unintentional Involvement Happen? | Safety Awareness

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

I've managed to get past the worst of the lower back pain I've been having for the past few days with some ice and Loxonin, so I'm heading to Hokkaido today lol

It looks like we're just going out to have fun, but actually, we're drilling anchor holes...

It's a really tough job site, but I'm going to give it my all!

If I'm going to do it anyway, I want to have fun doing it!!

A Fun Job

I feel like I've been traveling all over the country lately, but my goal for five years from now is to work exclusively in Aichi Prefecture!

That's the plan!!

To our general contractor in Aichi Prefecture: Can we prepare a cost estimate for you??

I can't compete with the top-tier professional estimators at the big firms at all right now, haha.

But that's beside the point.

The other day, I was talking to someone from a certain company, and—

Would you believe it, that person...Rotating MachineryAnyone who has ever been involved in a collision as a bystanderWhat?!

Get swept up in

What I found particularly interesting about what that person said was,

Rather than having clothes and such get caught up in it,Work gloves and other types of gloves get caught in the machineThat's right.

Apparently, only people who've been through it know things like this!

I hear that clothes and such tear quite easily.

However, when it comes to gloves, they apparently don't come off at all—they just get wrapped up as they go!

Generally speaking, you’d think gloves would just slip right off, right?

He said it wouldn't come out at first!!

Work gloves are the worst! They're so tight!

Apparently, leather gloves are still better. They slide right off.

However, they said it would be best not to use the Velcro on the wrist.

Leather gloves

This Velcro, right? It’s best to take it off.

Welding Gloves

This type of leather glove slips right off pretty easily!

Actually, this might be the better option.

That said,As a general rule, never touch any rotating parts until they have come to a complete stop!

Most of the rotating machinery we use is hydraulic.

It's on a whole other level—humans can't even compete.

It can be taken away easily.

Since this is important,

Never touch the rotating parts until they have completely stopped!

If you need to clean or inspect and maintain rotating parts,Be sure to alert everyone around you, shut down the generator, and turn off the circuit breaker.

If possibleIf you disconnect the machine's connector, it'll be perfect. That's it!!

The person who told me that story said they had to get several dozen stitches in their hand. (I didn't ask too many questions about that part.)

If it means avoiding injuries, it’s okay if the project is delayed a little.

Construction companies are well aware that meeting the deadline is crucial. But if an accident happens, that deadline will go out the window in an instant, won’t it?

Let's prioritize safety over the construction schedule! That's the quickest way.

That said, it’s also true that if we start talking about safety, it creates a contradiction where we can’t get any work done, lol.

See you later.
