I've been in Osaka since the other night, and it really is a lively place.

I used to hear quite a bit of Korean before, but now I don't hear any at all.

I don't usually weigh in on basic political matters, but I suppose there are all sorts of complications involved.

 

Speaking of difficult—or rather, what I just don't understand is...

Construction Career Advancement System!

Does everyone understand?

 

My company is registered there too, but it seemed like a huge hassle...

So, what's this???

That's the gist of it.

And recently, even general contractors have been telling us we have to use it.

Well, they haven't actually told me to register as an employee yet.

 

The other day, there was a lecture on the Career Advancement System at a general contractor.

Most subcontractors are just left speechless, lol.

I'm not that knowledgeable about it myself, so it's hard for me to explain, but while I was looking into it, I found a book on the subject!!

That's what we're introducing this time.

 

I guess I just have to buy it, don't I?

I bought one, too.

I won't understand it unless I study a little more, and is our industry—slope stabilization—considered Level 1??

Does that mean you're Level 1 whether you're good at your job or not?? lol

Is this Level 2??

The criteria are:

Level 1 (Entry-Level Workers, up to 3 years of service)

Level 2 (Intermediate-Skilled Workers, 4–10 years)

Level 3 (Foremen and Skilled Workers, 5–15 years)

Level 4 (Registered Core Technician, 10–15 years or more)

Set to one of four levels

It seems the criteria will change again depending on the certification.

 

The book should arrive today, so I'll let you know if I find out anything else!

For now, folks in the General Affairs Department, administrative staff, and anyone looking to sign up for the Career Advancement System should give this book a read lol.
