Install the main anchor at the intersection.
This is a standard installation of a glue-framed structure.
Let's assume that rebar installation and ground anchor work are included here.
Then, void pipes and PVC pipes are inserted into this junction.
At this point, I’d like you to pay close attention to the installation angles of the PVC and the voids.
As long as it is perpendicular to the slope, the void will run straight, so there is no problem.
However, if there is an angle, the rebar may come into contact with it.
In that case, you'll need to move the rebar up or down.
If you don't carefully plan and assemble the rebar framework, this is what happens.
If the main anchor is located here, we can't drill holes for rebar insertion or ground anchors!
It's not that it can't be done, but it takes an unnecessary amount of time, and the bits just fly off left and right lol.
Just cutting this takes quite a while.
On drawings, the main anchor is often shown right in the center of the intersection.
That doesn't mean you have to hit it right down the middle.
The main function of the anchor is to prevent movement until the mortar hardens.
The key is the process up until it hardens; after that, the friction is eliminated by the formwork’s own weight.
That means it's fine to drive the main anchor pin next to the void pipe.
Well, there are some supervisors who absolutely insist that everything has to be exactly according to the blueprints, though lol.
If this were the main reinforcing bar in the frame, it would cause structural problems.
In the photo above, they're also scraping the vertically cut rebar...
Let's make sure this doesn't happen.
If the supervisor isn't overseeing the work, whoever notices the issue (a worker) should take care to address it.
Cutting rebar constitutes substandard workmanship.
