What kind of bits do you use when operating a rock drill?

Well, if you think about it normally, it's either a cross or a carbide (flathead), right?

Usually, wallpaper is the standard choice.
Another common one is carbide.

As for how to use them,
We recommend using a cross-bit on relatively soft surfaces, such as concrete.
After all, since the contact area (the cross-shaped part made of tungsten) is so large, it’s a real pain if you don’t hit it hard enough to break it apart, isn’t it?
Carbide is a relatively hard material.
For example, natural stones like boulders.
The contact area (the negative part of the tungsten) is half the area of the cross.
The smaller the contact area, the greater the crushing force.
This is similar to the size of the pressure plate, and,
If the ground is weak, use a larger bearing plate.
If the ground is firm, use a smaller bearing plate.

When the same force is applied, the smaller the area, the more it sinks in.
The same is true for rock drills: the smaller the contact area, the more effective they are on hard bedrock.
Even for ground anchor work, you use bits like button bits and double-conical bits, right?

Even so, things still end up this bad, lol.
