I'm thinking this might be the easiest-to-use backing material for pressure plates.

What do you like best about shimming the pressure plate (leveling it)? lol

It sounds a little strange to say I "like" it, but what I mean is that it’s the construction method that’s easiest to work with and most affordable.

Zabuton Frame

The standard method for leveling the ground is using a zabuton frame, right?

Other than that, it's just spray-on mortar, a quick trowel finish, and laying down a mat.

Alternatively, there are also pressure plates that rest directly on the natural ground without any mats or similar materials.

If the mountain is in a soft state, it seems the load-bearing plate could simply be left as-is, but,

Considering the possibility that it may erode and be washed away by sediment in the future, would it still be better to apply sprayed mortar?

In the past, styrofoam was surprisingly common, but it’s no longer used because it degrades when exposed to UV rays.

 

This is the one that I’ve found to be the most user-friendly—or rather, the one that just feels right to me.

San Perka

This is really great.

The product name is Sanperka.

Because it has some thickness, it blends in really well.

They come in thicknesses of 60 mm and 100 mm; the 100 mm version fits most mountains.

 

If possible, I think it would be more cost-effective to lay Sanperka after the mortar is sprayed to serve as a load-bearing plate.

While the zabuton frame is a good option, considering the cost and labor involved, the sprayed mortar method combined with Sanperka offers better workability and is more economical.

Well, designers (consultants) don't really know about that sort of thing, do they?

 

I think it's easy to use because the closed-cell foam doesn't let moisture through.

During installation, after applying a load to the load-bearing plate, cut around the edges with a cutter to create a clean finish.

It's such an excellent material because it's so easy to work with.
