I'm starting on-site work today.

Well, since we finished the preparations last weekend, we're starting the drilling today.

Actually, I was able to drill about one hole last Saturday.

Since the soil in the borehole for the temporary anchor is sandy, I think the drilling will go surprisingly smoothly this time.

And the embedment length is 9.0 meters.

That means there are still concerns about insufficient friction in the anchoring section.

That said, it was actually us who changed the design to 9.0 meters... (The original design was a bit... ??? lol)

If we’d finished drilling one hole last week and gone home, we could start with insertion and injection today, so it would speed things up a little, right?

However, we rarely—or rather, almost never—do that. (Though if the director absolutely insists, we might go ahead with it after explaining the risks.)

Drilling holes in the anchorage section means roughening that area.

Besides, if we could inject the grout right away, that wouldn't be a problem, but we simply can't leave it as is overnight.

Even if someone asked me, “Why would that be left out?” I wouldn’t have any basis for an answer.

Sometimes people tell me it’s probably okay to leave the outer casing in, and I kind of agree.

However, drilling all the way to the anchorage section and then leaving it as isIt just seems kind of scary in terms of quality, and I don't want to do it.That's right!

I'm sure some people think it's not a problem, but since it's a difference in perspective, there's no one "right" answer.

I can’t say I don’t feel like, “Well, maybe it’d be okay if this anchorage area were rock-solid bedrock…” lol. Your approach does change a bit depending on the anchorage ground, doesn’t it?

As a construction manager, I naturally want to avoid any oversights as much as possible.

No matter how carefully an anchor is installed, it will come loose when it’s bound to come loose.That's right.

Even when conducting borehole surveys, the results are still just estimates.

With that in mind, even if it's just a little bit...Sources of Concern...will be removed.

That kind of attitude is important.

On site,Don't do anything that makes you anxious, don't let others do it, and don't turn a blind eye to it!

That affects both safety and construction.
