I've been thinking about this series lately...
Does everyone think this is funny??
Would it really be better to write more about slope-related topics?
Even though I’m thinking that, the Egypt arc is going to go on a little longer lol
Let me tell you a little more about the side of Egypt you don't know about lol

But that's beside the point.

This is what the atmosphere is like.
So, this is what caught my attention the most
I'm not sure if you'd call it a road guardrail, but it's a retaining wall.
This is the section separating it from the roadway.
I was actually fixing this part.
What really caught my attention there was this.
They're mixing cement into the fine desert sand!
I imagine this will turn into mortar, but desert sand really is very fine-grained—in civil engineering terms, it’s classified as fine sand.
Cement, huh?!
That's what I thought, but after doing a little research, I found out it contains a lot of quartz, so maybe it's actually pretty strong??
But even though I thought, “Well, it’s just fine sand…,” I still wondered, “Is this really okay??” lol
I added water as needed, spread the mixture under the stones so it was sticky, and stacked them like blocks.
I think I used water-soluble thread from time to time.
I tried holding up the other parts lightly, but sure enough—is this “Egyptian quality”?—they wobble all over the place lol.
Well, has the precision of the Pyramid era disappeared?
Even though I thought that, I figured, "Well, I guess that's just how it is..."
When you visit Egypt, your eyes naturally gravitate toward the civil engineering structures, don't they?
Well, no matter where I go, my eyes are always drawn to civil engineering structures lol
That's definitely an area where I'm very curious about how things are done in other countries.
That's interesting!
Take this stone coffin, for example—how did they get it up there?
"Did all the slaves lift it together?" "Did they build a ramp just for this spot?"—that's pretty funny, isn't it? ^^
These haphazardly piled stones seem to hold all sorts of meanings, too.
The pyramids are magnificent and amazing!
But I guess the fact that it seems like people are ruining everything is something that’s only acceptable in Egypt, in a way… lol
That said, it’s true that only a very small number of people engage in that kind of rip-off or pickpocketing, and there are plenty of decent people out there.
In that sense, it’s a bit of a letdown, but it is exciting.
Actually, aside from the pyramids, the real highlight is definitely the Archaeological Museum!
Next time, I'll introduce the Archaeology Museum lol (This series is far from over lol)
